Map for Android Apps(MFAA): 3 Best Messaging Apps for Android

Looking out for some good messaging apps to install on your Android device? Well following is a list of 3 best messaging apps for Android that can help you to stay connected with friends even when you are miles away from them. Although the Android phones do come with in-built messaging app, but it is a common knowledge that it is not the ultimate messaging application.

Below, you’ll find my list of 3 best messaging applications for Android, as a part of my map for Android apps, that you can try out.MAP FOR ANDROID APPS (MFAA)

  • WhatsApp – It is probably the most popular messaging app that is supported in multiple mobile OS. It uses internet to send and receive messages. You can get the app free for the first year and after which you have pay a $0.99 per year. It covers all your basic messaging needs including sending text, pictures, videos, and voice messages, as well as a group chat.
  • Kik – This is another messaging app that one can’t ignore. Like WhatsApp this app also supports cross OS messaging and other nifty features, like group chat, text messages, photo sending, emoticons, memes, South park characters, drawing support, search for YouTube links, and more. But unlike WhatsApp, Kik is completely free app and there’s no charge for its use.
  • IM+ – The reason why this app is in my list of best 3 messaging apps for Android is because it is not dedicated to a particular messaging service. In fact this app is an aggregator of various popular messaging applications like: Skype, Facebook, Windows Live Messenger, ICQ, MSN, Google Talk, and more. There’s no need to continually switch to multiple apps to talk to friends of a specific service. In fact IM+ is one common platform to have a conversation with friends of various messaging services. Nifty features like master password, online notification etc. are the added advantages of this app.

There are more good messaging apps that you can try, including: Twitter, Skype, Facebook Messenger, and Snap Chat.

I’ll be covering each in my further posts under Map for Android Apps (MFAA) by Amitoz Singh. Meanwhile install these apps from Google Play, (try avoiding other third party stores) and see if the apps can satisfy your messaging needs.
